Next time you’re in the kitchen, spice things up with this delicious and easy rasta pasta recipe, your taste buds will tingle with excitement!
1/2 onion (chopped)
4 to 5 garlic cloves (minced)
1/2 red pepper (sliced)
1/2 green pepper (sliced)
1 tablespoon thyme
1/2 tablespoon paprika
1/2 tablespoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic salt
2 tablespoons adobo
3 tablespoons jerk seasoning (this can be spicy if you’re not a big fan of spice, is suggest using a little less)
1 cup Parmesan Cheese (OPTIONAL: 1/2 cup pepper jack 1/2 cup parmesan cheese shredded)
2 Chicken Breasts (cut into strips ) (Shrimp can also be used)
1 cup heavy cream
Begin by bringing a pot of water to a boil and add the pasta, boil until the pasta is ready and drain.
While your pasta is boiling cut your onions, mince the garlic, slice the peppers and slice the chicken breasts into strips.
Next, season the sliced chicken breast with abode (only 1 tablespoon of abode), jerk seasoning ( 2 tablespoons should be added to the chicken), black pepper, paprika, garlic salt, thyme. (IF YOU ARE NOT A FAN A SPICE REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF JERK SEASONING)
After this, add olive oil into another pan and your seasoned chicken. The chicken should be cooked until it is brown. Then add the onions, garlic, and peppers into the pan, cook for about 4 additional minutes.
After sauteing for 4 minutes, add one cup of heavy cream, your cheese, the remaining adobe, and stir.
Lastly, you should add the pasta, the remaining jerk seasoning, stir and you should have delicious rasta pasta!!!!!
